Aurous Gaming Macao Inc. hopes its virtual roulette products will be released live on the gaming floor in Macau before the end of the year.

These virtual rules don't have moving wheels. Instead, the graphics are projected onto something static, creating the illusion of a wheel and a ball spinning, and a random number generator creates the winning number. It was introduced to industry professionals last year.

"Virtual roulette is easier for operators to use because it doesn't have to deal with the mechanism of using the ball, the pressure to start the ball, and the ball bouncing off the wheel or breaking the wheel," explains Albert Yu, the company's vice president.

"What we're showing here is the first unit of [virtual roulette] in Macau. Hopefully we'll see it on the casino floor before the end of the year," Yu said.

He added, "In fact, not only this virtual roulette but all the game consoles displayed at the MGS booth are for sale. So this is good news for us."

Virtual roulette The product category offers a virtual roulette wheel and a giant overhead display (projector animation) of two flat-screen televisions. Together, they provide more information about the results recorded on the virtual wheels that players see next to the table.

"There's one more projector (table side) that shows ball spin and results, and two more projectors that are projected on the [overhead] screen at the same time," Yoo said. "We've increased the visibility of wheel spin motion."

"The two television screens next to the head display show the 'trend,' the 'hot' number, and the jackpot value. So this is a very good display, especially for customers who have long, high walls on the casino floor. You can add energy to the place," added an executive of Aruge.

"Let's take a look at the market's response to the virtual roulette. It would be great. Macau is a very special place and the acceptance level of ETG [electronic table games] is quite high," he said, referring to the tastes of popular market gamblers in Macau.   홀짝게임
