The farmers she regularly purchased from had largely already invested for the season - in seeds, capital improvements, soil, and staff. And due to the loss of events, they were looking at potential major losses.

In an effort to support local flower farmers, bring joy to cooped-up New Yorkers on lockdown, and keep her business afloat, the  eco friendly flower delivery    ‘Seasonal Flower Project’ took off in early May 2020, and has continued since!

Subscribers can opt for weekly or bi-weekly deliveries of seasonal flowers, and sign up for 4, 8, or 12 deliveries at a time. There is also a ‘full season’ option, which runs for 20 or 40 weeks, and boasts the most affordable price.

Since 2021, Molly has partnered with 16 small businesses who serve as ‘host sites’ in neighbrohoods across Brooklyn, Manhattan and Long Island City, for members to pick up their bouquets.

Subscription members enjoy a weekly newsletter that shares care tips for specific flowers, interviews with farmers, botanical facts, and more.

“Starter pack” subscriptions include Molly’s favorite pruning shears for floral design, as well as their custom ceramic vase.

Eco friendly floral delivery:

In addition to subscription flowers, Molly Oliver Flowers offers seasonal flower arrangements, which can be ordered for delivery on any Wednesdays. Whether you are ordering flowers for a birthday, anniversary, as a get-well or thinking-of-you gift, or holiday flower arrangement, you can place an order on their website and select for direct delivery or pick up at one of their partner locations around NYC.

Seasonal floral design workshops:

In 2024, Molly Oliver Flowers moved to a new studio in Sunset Park with beautfiul, uninterrupted views of the Statue of Liberty, Manhattan skyline and harbor.

Now, the designer is able to invite New Yorkers to visit and learn directly from her the art of sustainable, eco-friendly floral design.

Workshops begin in April 2024, and are offered monthly, giving an opportunity for participants to learn about seasonal flowers.
