Ways Emka Foundation of Emmanuel Katto is Revolutionizing Children's Education
With his Emka Foundation, Emmanuel Katto Uganda aims to improve Uganda's educational system by implementing a number of programs, like giving kids access to a basic elementary education.
The adult literacy rate is the proportion of adults (15 years of age and older) who can read and write a concise, direct statement about their daily life with understanding. Uganda's 2021 literacy rate was 79.00%, a 2.47% increase over 2020. The rate of literacy is improving, but it is still very slow and severely impeded in most of Uganda.
