What is a verified account?
Verified accounts are accounts which are verified by Twitter. After verification, you will see a blue tick mark on the right of your Twitter name. It is true that verified accounts have a genuine identity as it is verified by Twitter. However, it doesn't mean that a non verified account has fake identity. Non verified accounts are also genuine accounts.
