The women's volleyball team avenged their loss to Kazakhstan at the Asian Volleyball Championship on the Asian Games stage.

Head coach Cesar Hernandez's women's volleyball team swept Kazakhstan 3-0 (25-18 25-18 25-16) in the fifth-place match of the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games at the Duching Sports Center Gymnasium in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China on Saturday.

With the win, South Korea avenged a loss to Kazakhstan at the 2023 Asian Volleyball Championship in Thailand last month. The Koreans fell to Kazakhstan 0-3 (24-26 23-25 23-25) in the fifth place match of the tournament on March 6.

With the win, South Korea will play the fifth place match on Sunday afternoon. They will face the winner of the match between North Korea and Chinese Taipei.

The women's volleyball team will return home from Hangzhou after the fifth place match, 17 years after the 2006 Doha Games. 19가이드03
