The women's archery recurve team defeated China 5-3 in the final to win gold, their seventh consecutive gold medal at the Games.

The archery recurve team has won four gold medals at the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games, making up for the lack of gold in the compound event.

The archery recurve team won gold in both the women's and men's team events on Saturday at the Fuyang Throat Sports Center Archery Range in Hangzhou, China.

The team has now swept the mixed, men's and women's team events.

One more gold medal will be up for grabs in the women's individual final on July 7, as Lim Im-hyun (Korea Gymnastics University) and Ahn An (Gwangju Women's University) are set to battle it out.

The Recurve team has completely shaken off its poor showing at the 2018 Jakarta-Palembang Asian Games. South Korea only won gold in the men's individual and women's team events out of a total of five gold medals at the Asian Games five years ago.

The highly anticipated women's individual event ended in bronze, while the men's team lost to Chinese Taipei in the final, missing out on gold. In the first-ever mixed event, Korea failed to win a medal.

After five years away from the Asian Games, Korea's recurve team has rebounded. After sweeping four out of five events at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, they carried that momentum into the Games, winning four gold medals.

The recurve team's performance is especially welcome as the compound team has yet to live up to expectations.

Having won two of the three gold medals in compound at Jakarta-Palembang five years ago, the team was full of confidence heading into this event. The team had prepared for this event with American coach Rio Wild at the helm.

However, Compound was held back by India, who have been dominant at the Games, winning two silver and one bronze medal.

Compound is pinning its hopes on So Chae-won (Hyundai Mobis), who reached the women's final in the individual event on Sunday. If she fails to win, Compound will finish "no gold" for the first time since the event became an official event at Incheon in 2014. 스포츠토토맨
